The event will take place at Booth #978 in the Black Zone at the University of Southern California, with participation supported by Bookside Press and Inks and Bindings.

Author Nicholas Licausi is scheduled to appear at the 2026 Los Angeles Times Festival of Books, where he will host a book signing session and introduce his forthcoming title, “The Leaders and the Universe.”
Licausi’s upcoming release expands on a series of interconnected works that blend speculative fiction with themes of leadership, innovation and global problem-solving. His previous titles, including “The Leaders and the Space Project,” “The U.S. Leadership Program,” and “The Medical Project,” follow recurring characters as they address large-scale challenges through technology and coordinated initiatives.

“The Leaders and the Space Project,” published in 2025, continues the narrative of characters John and Kate as they extend their efforts beyond Earth, building on earlier developments introduced in prior books. The series presents a progression of ideas centered on applying technical solutions to societal issues, including healthcare and international collaboration.

Earlier works such as “The U.S. Leadership Program” explore similar concepts through a fictional framework that highlights leadership structures and project-based innovation. The narrative introduces government-backed initiatives and examines how coordinated efforts can influence large-scale change.

In addition to his fiction titles, Licausi co-authored “Self Help and Mental Health: Tough Path to Wellness (Our Story),” a nonfiction work that documents a personal account of mental health recovery and emphasizes the role of support systems and long-term stability. The book reflects a separate dimension of his writing focused on lived experience and practical insight.
“The Leaders and the Universe” is positioned as a continuation of the broader narrative established in Licausi’s earlier books. The forthcoming title is expected to further develop the series’ themes while introducing new elements tied to exploration and expanded collaboration.
Festival attendees will have the opportunity to meet the author and learn more about both his existing publications and upcoming release. The Los Angeles Times Festival of Books is one of the largest literary events in the United States, bringing together authors, publishers and readers for a weekend of discussions, signings and presentations.
Licausi’s participation reflects continued engagement with readers and the broader literary community, as well as ongoing development of his multi-book series.
