AAPA Applauds 2026 Individual Excellence Award Recipients

ALEXANDRIA, Va., May 14, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — The American Academy of Physician Associates (AAPA) is recognizing ten outstanding physician associates/assistants (PAs) and PA students for their exemplary contributions to their communities, patients, and the advancement of the PA profession.

The 2026 Individual Excellence Award honorees include:

- PA of the Year Award – Viet Le, DMSc, MPAS, PA-C, FACC, FAHA, FASPC, HF-Cert; Salt Lake City, Utah
- PA Student of the Year Award – Nichole Geist, PA-S; Piscataway, N.J.
- Military Service Award – Col. Sharon Rosser, DSc, MSS, PA-C – Commander; Natick, Mass.
- Diversity Award – EDGE-PA; Willowbrook, Calif.
- Humanitarian Service Award: Jamie Lytton, DMSc, PA-C; Anchorage, Alaska
- AAPA/PAEA Preceptor of the Year Award – Dustin Keenan, PA-C, CAQ-OS; Lexington, S.C.
- Publishing Award – Michael Gerlach, DMS, PA‑C; East Greenwich, R.I.
- Outstanding Student Society – Mercer University Godsey-Matthews Student Society; Atlanta, Ga.
- CO Outreach and Advocacy Award – The LBGT PA Caucus
